It was eight standard time when we left his morning. It was hard to wake up at six too. We’re getting back into the farming country now. On almost every farm we saw people taking in hay. We saw quite a few fields of wheat and grain and millions of antique shops. Ever since we left Atlantic City but they’ve never been as thick as they have been the last few days. I have just been dying to go in one but “we can’t take the time.” Before noon we passed several lakes. The Finger Lakes of N Y. They looked lovely and summery. We had lunch at a little dinner half way between here and there. We went thru Utica and Syracuse this morning. At about four o’clock we got here. We went straight to the falls without even stopping at a hotel. We went over to Goat Island. After looking at the Falls we went on the trip to the Cave of the Winds. We had to put on special suits and we went right down into the spray of the American Falls. I expected a lot of the Falls but not this much. We went to a hotel and left our things and then went to the Canada side to see the falls. We had supper there watched the lights and came back.
