June 30, 1931 - Tuesday

Gene Grady and Ron Calvert  (a new boy) came up to join the force today. I’m glad Gene is here. Doro and I climbed Garfield today about the same distance as the lake. Went to dance with Ron. Well well. I’ve certainly been doing a lot of jumping around this month and certainly has been a happy month, too! I’ve gotten a letter from Victor Evans since I’ve been here.

June 29, 1931 - Monday

We worked faster today and didn’t have so much to do and we got thru about 2:30. Then Doro and I went down to the lake shore. Brad went with us. It’s not a bad trip.

June 28, 1931 - Sunday

Today was better still in spite of the fact that I worked until five and then was on detail until 10 PM. The food we have up here is wonderful!!  Cold tonight!

June 27, 1931 - Saturday

Today wasn’t so bad. I got off a little earlier and Doro and I took a short stroll before we went back on duty at 5. I wrote letters after dinner. To bed early.

June 26, 1931 - Friday

What a day!! I didn’t have to start work until eight but we worked every minute until four thirty except lunch. My feet are killing me. Did I say I was going to like this job! OH!

June 25, 1931 - Thursday

Crater Lake just as beautiful as ever. We were at the Jackson Hotel at eight. Arrived here at Noon. Had lunch then started right in working. I’m a chamber maid! But I think I’m going to like it.
