July 31, 1932 - Sunday

I spent the afternoon ironing and mending what I washed yesterday morning. This was George’s evening on duty so we read until we both got sleepy, then we went out on the porch awhile.

This hasn’t been a very pleasant month except for the fact we’re together. The crowd of kids are different. Neither of us have intimates as we both did last summer. I only hope I don’t get sent down, people are.

July 30, 1932 - Saturday

This was my late morning but I got up at 6:30 because I had so much to do, principally washing. This evening was George’s off but it was so cold. So we sat by the fire and talked.

July 29, 1932 - Friday

Mr. and Mrs. Hibbard were here! I was certainly surprised. They came about eleven. I spent from 12:30 to three with them. Went thru Castle Crest Gardens twice today (beautiful) with them and with George. On duty tonight.

July 28, 1932 - Thursday

I got up about eight thirty and read before work at twelve. Talked to George, too. After supper George and I went part way up Garfield and found a perch. It is a beautiful night.

July 27, 1932 - Wednesday

I was going to read a lot of Napoleon this afternoon but spent so much time talking to George while he worked that I didn’t get much read after all. We didn’t read nor write tonight. Just talked.

July 26, 1932 - Tuesday

I got up at 6:30 this morning when I didn’t have to because I wanted to wash my hair before work. This evening we went for short walk along the rim and then went to the dance. We had fun.
