Sunday, July 7, 1929, Ft. Washington, MD

We slept fairly late this morning but not too late because the church started at nine. We sat in the choir at church, it was outside and we sat in the sun. It was good to get back to the house. Yesterday we telegraphed Steve and asked him out, so soon after we got back he drove up in his new Ford. Bonners had gone to Sunday School so we had him to ourselves for a while. When the Bonners came back there was a lot of introducing then we talked until one thirty. Then we had lunch and it was almost three when we got thru. Steve had to leave about five thirty so he could get back by dark. The time went so fast between lunch and five thirty. It went all too quickly for me. I certainly wish I could see more of Steve before we leave. While he was here I tried out his car and approve of it very much. It’s darling! Steve left at about five thirty. After he left we sat around for awhile and then decided to go over to the sunday evening picnic, that is us girls went (Anna, Lucile, June, Helen and I). When we got back we were going to the movies but we found there wasn’t any. So after fooling around awhile we decided to hit the hay.
