We slept so late this morning that it was twelve before we got started down town. June and I had breakfast and lunch together it was so late. We went in the subway down to the very end of Manhattan. We wandered around the park there and saw Lady Liberty herself. Then we saw Trinity Church and all the hamour graves. Then we went to the top of the Woolworth Building to look things over. Then we dashed to the subway again to get back up town. On the way down town we had come as far as Washington Square on a bus. We had a bite to eat before going to the show which made us a little late but it didn’t spoil the story for us. We saw “New Moon”. June’s and my first musical comedy. We seem to be doing a lot of things for the first time. It was a wonderful show. Beautiful costumes and setting. Handsome hero Harry introduced us to him after the show. I was so thrilled that I couldn’t say anything. Afterward we drove out to one of suburbs by Riverside past Grant’s Tomb. We called on one of Harry’s cousins then right home.
