We were supposed to have started at eight this morning but it was after nine when Mom & Pop came after June and I. While I was waiting I finished the book. With all the traffic and all it was after ten before we finally leftWashington. As a result it was about a quarter after twelve when we got here. I called up Steve and he came over to have lunch with us but the waiter was so long with the order that Steve had to dash back to school before he had eaten. After we had finished lunch we drove out to Aremdal-on-the-bay where the Derickson’s live to see them. Mrs. Derickson was in Washington and Dick’s in the Academy so we only saw the Commander and Bowen. We left June out there. On the way home we drove by the State House. It was about a quarter to four when we got back to the hotel. Steve came around at four. We got in our cars and went around to Steve’s house and picked up Lt. Cole. They took us thru the USNA. We spent the rest of the afternoon there. We saw Dick and watched supper formation. Steve & Lt.Cole had supper with us. About ten the Dericksons brought June home and I saw Mrs. Derickson. Then Steve and I went for a ride. Home at 11:45.
