They let us sleep as long as we could this morning and it was after nine when I woke up to stay awake. While we were sleeping Pop took the car over to the Studebaker factory to have it completely overhauled. Pop announced that we would leave for Chicago at twelve. So June and I went down and got some breakfast and then went to the barber shops and had our hair washed. As soon as we got back to the room Mom, June and I dashed out to get June some shoes but she was so stubborn that we couldn’t get her satisfied. So we dashed back to the hotel and into a taxi that took us to the electric station. We had lunch on the train and got to Chicago at a little after two. We were near the Un. of Chicago. So we looked up Paul and went to his rooms. We talked with him a while and made plans about meeting him again and then went downtown to the loop. We went to Marshal Fields and got June some shoes and then got on the “L” and went to Aunt Hortee. All the family was there including Harry, Lottie, Ruth, Eldon, Douglas & wife and Shirley. Had supper, talked and to bed.
