Problems on the board in Alg. but nothing in Civics or English. All Seniors cut Spanish. Helen and I went to her house. At Physics the class as a whole invited Mr. Sarrano to our Class Day program. I was called on again today and I think I got another good mark. I came home at twelve and found half of our down stairs furniture gone or going. It won’t be long now. After lunch I slept. At quarter to four I started getting ready to go to school. I wore my new gown dress and new shoes. Went over about four twenty. Everybody was at the program that I had invited except Mrs. Larkin. I think the play came off pretty good and the gift certainly made a hit. All the time we’ve been in high school our class has been the best all around. Afterwards I went to Hope to see the pictures taken Sunday and get the films. We were invited to the Luseta Hotel to have dinner with the Stevens. At nine o’clock we hurried down to the opera house. Galli-Curci was marvelous. It’s no use trying to describe it. She’s the brightest little woman and most gracious and attractive. Has she personality?!
Jane's Notes: The Scrapbook has an envelop with the Class Song and the Program from the Manila Central High School Senior Class Day. Ann Elizabeth Powell is in the play as "Comrade Cards." There is also this great picture of the senior class. Mom is 2nd from right, back row. You can only see her head. She looks to be the 2nd tallest person in the class. I'll bet she has on those new shoes with the 3 inch heels.

What a great picture. I love the fashions from that era.
