Mrs. Maloney forgot the test thank heaven. We had to do some beastly translating in Spanish. At Physics we finished reviewing our test questions which took up the whole two periods because Morton argued with the teacher so often and so long. After lunch I read my book and about four Mom came in and told me to get ready. Alex Fyre called up and told me he was supposed to come for me but he couldn’t because of office work so would it be alright if I came with my mother. I said sure but I didn’t quite know what it was all about. We went to the OBS supper dance. From five to eight. Alex didn’t come until six. After supper at eight Alex asked me to go to a show with him. I was supposed to go to the Red Cross Lifesaving committee meeting but we drove around and found there wasn’t any. We went to see “Under the Black Eagle” and later we went to the hotel. There were heaps of people I knew there. One thirty home.
