Sunday, March 24, 1929

I was dead tired when I woke up this morning and it took me a long time to get awake as a consequence. I was late to SS but I made up for it by going to church. The music was very good this morning I thought. After church Mom and I went to Mrs. Larkin’s so I could thank her for the lovely graduation gift she sent me. Just as we were sitting down to dinner Dick called up and asked me if I would like to go swimming with him and another couple. Of course I was thrilled the first time he has asked me for a date. After dinner I took some pictures of Eleanor and the dog. They came for me at about three o’clock. We drove out to Montelbon. We got out there after about one hour’s drive and they told us we couldn’t go in but went around the bend of the river just out of sight. We had to dress behind bushes. We had a beautiful ride in with the sunset and songs and all. Early to bed tonight - Tomorrow!
