As this was holy Thursday Pop came home from the office at ten this morning and as the chauffeur was sick again I took Mom downtown to do some errands. We got home about twelve thirty. Pop said some young man had called while I was gone. It was Alex. He called again and asked me to go swimming with him at three this afternoon. After lunch I rested until Alex came. When we first got out there there were very few people around. I met Hal Mitthorp. After a while the pool got quite crowded. After we got out we had some drinks and a sandwich. We left there at six ten and Allen was calling for me at the house at six fifteen. When we got home Allen was waiting. I rushed up and changed and then we went to the movies in Allen’s new car. After the movies we went to the Polo Club for dinner. It was beautifully cool out there. After dinner we went to the Hotel where we joined Shorty Hall and Helen Reed. The Hotel was dead, there was hardly anybody there. Everybody’s in Baguio including Dick. We got home about twelve thirty. Saw Bunny at the Hotel.
Jane's Notes: I remember the name Baguio. It is in the mountains and people from Manila would go there in the summer because it was cooler. I believe the Camp Fire Camp that Mom went to was in that area as well.
