This morning in English we were given our parts in the class play. Don and I had a squabble again this morning. I sure gave him one snappy come back. I’ve got to write it down. Helen told Don that he couldn’t hit a fly and Don boastfully announced the he knocked Corbin out and I chimed in with “Well, he’s only a mosquito.” He pretended not to hear it but I know he did because he shut up after that. This afternoon about three June and I went down to see “The Smart Set”. I asked Helen to go with me but she was playing golf with Alice & Lucy. The picture was very good. One of William Haines best. As we were coming out we met Shorty and Connie. Five thirty we went after Pop and then came home. I read the new book until supper time and finished it (so Pop can have it) right after supper. I have been invited to a party at the Morton’s on Sunday at eight.
