Helen gave me a long and detailed account of Charles’ arrival. It seems that he has a friend with him who is staying at the Mortons. We had an unexpected quiz on “The Pilot” but it was pie for me. But the Physics test we had. I never saw such a test. It took us the whole two periods to do it in too and hard and how! I got one hundred in my Alg. home work today. I’m doing lots better than I did thank heavens. Alg. is to me a series of ups and downs. We hurried back to school after Physics and saw the last part of the Freshman program. It wasn’t so hot altho Miss Flagg praised them and said that they had set a high standard for the rest of the class day programs, etc. Also she awarded them the cup they won at Basket Ball. I slept this afternoon again until about three. Minnie called up about four and invited me to a party for Ada on the 24th. At about ten to five we went to Mrs. Smith’s tea at the Elks club. I saw quite a few people that I knew but it was boring. I went after June at Jane’s (she brought Jane home with her) at about seven thirty then we made some pop corn. Mom and Pop went to the OES.
