I had to get up at seven to go to school at seven thirty for class day rehearsal. We practiced until nine. I came and got June and Jane and we went swimming. I had a wonderful swim. We got out about ten to twelve and then went down after Pop. After lunch I laid down for awhile. At two we asked Mom if we could go to the movies. We went down to see “the Mysterious Lady”, Greta Garbo. It was a good picture altho’ I have seen better. On the way home we stopped for Mom at a tea. She said Myra Belle had called and asked if I wanted to go swimming. As soon as I got home I called her up. Went out about five and came home about six thirty. Mom and Pop had the quartet and their wives and the preacher & Mrs. over to dinner tonight. After dinner they sang and we talked. It is about seven thirty. Carol Cooper is staying all night with June. We asked Myra Belle, Fred and Dick to dinner tomorrow night while we still have the piano.

Jane's Notes: My grandfather sang in a barber shop quartet.
