Hope and I got up about seven thirty. We dallied around breakfast until nine. Then we went up and dressed. Then went over to Hope’s so she could change. Then we went to the Flower Market. I got two dozen long stemmed rose buds. We got to the boat about ten thirty. It left at eleven. We told her good bye and promised to write often. Then we went over to the P. Pierce where the U of O orchestra is playing but didn’t see anybody. I took Hope home and got home myself about twelve. I came upstairs and slept until about one fifteen. We had lunch at one thirty. After dinner I wrote a letter to Steve. Hope came for me at three. And we went down to the P. Pierce off Vir Rosenstock aft on it and also the G. G. So the pier was packed with Filippinos. There were quite a few people down to see Vir. off. The Mortons and Jim were there. Hope and I took some pictures on the boat. It left at four. About five I went shopping with Mom. Mom & Pop went out to dinner. I’m tired.
