Sunday, April 28, 1929

Again it was after ten before I got up. But I didn’t have any breakfast this morning. June didn’t wake up until after eleven. I washed three pairs of stockings before lunch. We had a huge lunch and it wasn’t until then that I realized this was Sunday. Mom got up on deck this morning. It’s the first time in quite a few days. It was a lovely morning. After lunch I took a picture of June, one of Eleanor and one of the Chief. He is quite a character and a friend of our family. He cooks wonderful meals and usually has a cookie or a piece of cake handy if you visit the kitchen. I mean galley. It’s the warmest place on the ship. Eleanor and I took sponge baths. Later in the afternoon I fed the tiger again. I did everything today. A huge dinner with coffee ice cream (Sunday). to bed at eleven o’clock again.
