Saturday, April 6, 1929

This morning we actually started packing. Up to now we have just been putting things away and getting rid of things but this morning we packed the things that are going direct to Eugene. About eleven Mrs. Olsen came over and visited about an hour. I had to empty my wardrobe this morning, too. After lunch I did some reading and painted some signs and then about three thirty I called up Myra Belle and asked her if she wanted to go swimming. I went after her about four. We got home about 5:40. I got dressed in about five minutes because the Shoemakers had asked to come out there to dinner and they wanted us to be there at six. The children had dinner then and we at about 7. It was a wonderful dinner. Some chops, and corn, tomatoes and some fancy desert with creamed strawberries that was gorgeous. We got home about ten fifteen.
