This morning in desperation for something to do we decided to go to the movies. We left the Hotel about nine. We went to the Ideal to see Lillian Gish in “Wired”. Wonderful acting, etc. But too dramatic for enjoyment I thought. We got out at eleven and then went after Mom who was at the house finishing up. Charlie Jarman was there to say good-bye and he had a gift for each of us. Mine was a beautiful Phil. hat. After lunch we rested until late in the afternoon. Then we went for a ride. About seven we went out to Crosby’s for dinner. Besides us they had the Griffiths. We four kids had dinner together. It was ten thirty before we got home.
