The weather perfect and the world is swell! Went to the assembly this morning with George and giggled all thru it. I was just getting out of my afternoon class when he and Eddie took me for a ride. Jeanne and I went to show after chapter meeting.
Jane's Notes: Eddie Field is mentioned throughout the diaries and the letters home during the war. His father owned a Chevrolet dealership in Portland. I remember Mom and Dad saying that he was one of their few friends, if the only friend, who could afford to have a car at school during the depression.
