This morning I slept until twelve. I wasn’t going to either.
I went to the show with Doro right after lunch. George wasn’t coming over but I
called up and asked him to tea and be weakened. I studied tonight in a big way.

George's Letter Home:
Dear Mom,
I was sorry that you and Dad could not come down for a
little visit, but it will not be long before I am home for a few weeks.
Anne was to have some visitors from the Orient last Friday
night, but they didn’t show up for some reason or another. Well, the young lady
was terribly disappointed; and I played the part of Sir Galahad and took her to
a dance. Oh-boy, can I cheer them up. As long as you suggested that she visit
us during spring vacation, I took the liberty of inviting her this evening. You
had better write her a letter though, or she might feel my invitation lacked
authority. She certainly was pleased to have me invite her, and of course I am
very indifferent to the matter (sez me).
Nearly everyone went to Portland this weekend, and all we
had to do was play Ping-Pong. This form of recreation has taken a terrible hold
on the Brethren of Chi Psi. From all that I can gather, this place always has
been partial to indoor sports.
Eddy sends mine family a cheery hello and expresses his
regrets at their absence at dinner this noon. That is just another cock and
bull story of his, but nevertheless, he probably means well. The kids all call
him Whistle-Teeth around here now, because the unearthly sound which streams
out between that opened mouth of his when he sleeps, keeps us all awake. He
also says that you are to have lots of apple pie on hand this spring vacation
for that great big pouch of his. (I was wrong, he orders butterscotch pie).
Goodbye Mom, Eddy doesn’t like what I have just written
about him, but that really doesn’t make any difference to me.
Tell mine Pop that he had better get in trim for many
wrestling matches, for he will have two live wires to handle this time.
Howard just dropped in, and wishes to have a hello said for
him too.
Love, Brother
