I got up just in time to go to my eleven o’clock. Right
after lunch I went up to the library and studied until four then came home and
studied. After dinner went to the old library and studied with George.

Dear Mom,
I have just got back from the Beta house, where I enjoyed
the lousiest lunch of my college career. Maybe I can appreciate my meals here a
little more now. Last night we had t-bone steaks for dinner. I don’t know what
the occasion was, but we all cheered Grady anyhow.
Did I take the beating of my life last night? We went up t
the Chi Omega house for dessert, and I had the worst lady (I am not even sure
she was a human being) that I have ever laid my eyes on. It was this same
Josephine Waffle that I took such a beating on at the Gamma Phi breakfast dance
last spring. It was so awful that I went down and spent the evening with Anne
(sic) just to get her out of my system.
The other night when we went to bed, somebody had moved the
beds all around so that we couldn’t find them. What a time --- everybody made a
terrible racket when they went to bed, trying to find their respective places
of rest. Some even crawled into the wrong beds and didn’t even know the
difference.
My fees are $15.50 this term, but I am going to drop a course,
which will only make them $10.50. This Elements of Marketing course I am taking
will cost $5.00, so I am going to drop the darn thing. I can’t get that much good
out of the thing; it is really quite an easy course too. That will leave me
fifteen hours of the same courses I had last year. If you can send me the
$10.00 right away with a couple more for spending money and other things, that
will be all I will need this month.
There doesn’t seem to be much more to tell you right now.
Love to mine Mom and Pop,
Brother
