July 29, 1931 - Wednesday

We got thru before one o’clock and I was on duty the long afternoon! After dinner I sat in front of the fire with George & Gene and laughed myself sick.

Jane's Notes: "On duty" seems to mean you hang out in the lobby and talk with guests.
