Much as I hated it had to get up at 9:20 am. Had a 10
o’clock and an 11 o’clock. In afternoon wrote a long letter, 14 pages, home. At
three went to College Side with Jeanne & Doro. Went to try outs from 4 to 6
but didn’t do anything. Studied hard.
Jane’s Notes: Doro is Dorothy Hall who later married Jean
Grady. Jean Grady is mentioned in the letter Dad wrote home that you read three days ago. The Gradys were very close friends of my parents as we were growing up
and remained so through the rest of their lives. Doro and Jean are mentioned
often in both my mother’s diaries and letters as well as Dad’s letters home.
