Dearest George,

This isn’t very elegant stationary but I just wanted to dash off a note to you before I put my weary head down on my pillow tonight. So many exciting things have happened since I have seen you but I will have to wait until I have more time and when I can use my hands. I got back this morning and there were some lovely presents waiting for me. George, darling, thank you so much for that lovely book. You knew how I wanted it and I am going to read it just as soon as I get time. I am going to write your mother tomorrow and thank her for the pajamas. They are lovely. Did you see them? I am going to wear them the first time I come out to stay all night at your house. Janet left me a book of Ibsen’s plays that you will have to help me read. Mom got in just about half an hour after I did. I went up to the flower and fern parade tonight and who should I see there but Myra Belle Hendricks. It was so exciting. When I came home there was a telegram from Steve. He is in Bellingham. Mom gave me a lovely ring for graduation. Web just told me tonight that there is going to be a camp after all. I guess that makes you happy.

O darling, I miss you so much, particularly at night. During the day it isn’t quite so bad because I am busy but I do hope it won’t be too long. Mom talks of staying here till Wednesday. Please excuse the mistakes I am so tired but I do love you so much.

Ann
