Helen said that the reason she didn’t come to school was because Mary had been married. From her account of it they must have had a thrilling and wonderful time. In the afternoon about 4:30 I went to the cooked food sale. The Camp Fire Girls had the candy booth. I was asked to bring candy. I tried to make butter taffy but I burnt it so I went with out any. We didn’t have much candy to sell but we made about 4 pesos. That night I went to a leap year party given by Kate Sticker. I had a miserable time. The last part of the evening Mary, Frenchie, and Ruth sat around and chatted with Phil and Don and I was left out in the cold. I hate leap year parties.
