We didn’t get our lift after all. We tried to work it but it didn’t come out the right way. About four I went downtown with June. We couldn’t find the car. After going up and down the Escolta (St.) three times, we found it. We had passed it twice while we were looking for it. At five we went to Camp Fire and I had baseball. Base Ball!! And I pitched at that.
Jane's Notes: Since Mom didn't seem to know or at least didn't reflect in her diary what else was going on in the world, I thought I'd add some world events as they occur. So on this day King Fuad of Egypt grabbed power and disbanded parliament.
