October 9, 1932 - Sunday

A day of studying almost. Studied until two then went to the library. At four George came up and took me to a show then went back and studied until nine. It has been a swell week-end.

George's letter home:

Dear Mother,

Here it is Sunday morning and I have been up for some hours already. I have just finished writing out all my monthly checks; and as soon as I finish this letter to you, I am going to study a little.

This has been a very quiet and restful weekend for me. I have spent most of it sitting in the Alpha Phi house, so you may know that I have enjoyed it. Last evening, Ann and I ate dinner at the Anchorage. We had one of these great big juicy steaks that you love so much, and then we went back to the Alpha Phi house. We built a big roaring fire in the fireplace and just sat and looked at it for the rest of the evening.

My cold is very nearly cleared up and I think that you may stop having Mrs. McCune for me. Thank her for me, and I will write her a letter as soon as possible.
That is all for now, I just wanted to tell you how my corporocity (sic) was.

Love, Brother
