August 1, 1931 - Saturday

This has been a very lazy day. It seems to becoming a habit to get done before one o’clock. After supper wrote letters. George wrote June a post card.

George's letter home:

How Do,

Mr. Price handed me some gold today for my services. I am going to endorse it to one of you so it will arrive safely. Put it in some bank that won’t go broke; that’s all I ask. I am also enclosing a picture of my labors up here. It shows the whole works, Ford, garbage men, garbage cans, and anything else you can find.

I am on my way to bed now, because there are only four tons of ice to unload on the Sabbath Day. Take my advice and do a little resting on the seventh day of the week. If not for your own sake, why do it for me.

That is all for now, thank you for the letter and the dollar Dad.

Love George.
