May 17, 1931 - Sunday

I had to take a guest to breakfast so I had to get up early. At Anchorage. Talked to Mrs. Watt a long time after dinner. Things are going to happen in Chapter tomorrow. This house is getting too wild!

George's Letter Home - looks like he went home for the weekend after all.

Sunday evening,

Dear Mother,

We arrived here without any happenings about five thirty. The whole darn place was filled with Alumni from all over the country.

I didn’t do any studying as I plan to get up in the morning and do it then. We went over to the Green Parrot and had a bit to eat, and now I guess the bed is the best place for me. My room was so dirty that I needed to clean it.

All the boys around the Lodge went up the McKenzie on a picnic today and got stuck in the mud ----- a wonderful time was had by all I guess.

That is about all I guess mother; I just wanted to tell you that I arrived safely and that I surely enjoyed being with you this weekend.

Love,

George L. Hibbard

P.S. Please send me some more stamps. G.L.H.
