May 3, 1933 - Wednesday

They’re coming!!! O! I have been so excited since noon when I got the letters. They land next Tuesday. Had a 4:30 class today. I tore home and dressed to go to Beta house to dinner with Chuck. Later went over to the Rally dance.

George's Letter Home:

Dearest Mother,

It will not be so very long until you will be down here for Junior Week-End and I shall be more than thrilled to have you. I hope you and Mrs. Schloth can be here in time for the Campus Luncheon on Friday noon. That is the first big affair of the week-end, and you have never seen it.

Mrs. Powell and June will land in Seattle, Tuesday, May 9; and they will arrive in Eugene Thursday evening.  Ann has purchased four tickets to the Canoe Fete so that you can sit with them. I will be terribly busy up above, seeing that the floats get off right.

Let the banquet go, Mother; it will not be interesting, and it will be my only chance to visit with you until Sunday dinner at the Lodge.

Mother, it doesn’t look like we shall have much time to visit; but I will squeeze in some time somewhere. I do want you to come, though; it will be very disappointing not to have you.

I will be down town tomorrow and I will make certain again that your rooms are reserved for you. Please give Dad my best, and tell him to watch the exterior prominence.

Love, Brother
